By identifying distinct traits from the engineering building by James Stirling, the project aimed to explore the further abstraction of architectural and experiential traits as phygital (physical + digital) objects.

The deconstructed composite emerges from the assemblage of hybrid objects, formed through the combination of two traits each. These were:
-
Framed geometries
-
Intersecting grids
-
Verticality
The juxtaposition of hard and soft geometries along with the interchanging of material behavior through animations questions normative perceptions and lends the element of unpredictability. The dynamism of the fluid glass component generates a myriad of reflections and refractions, adding depth whilst also serving as a softening agent tying the composition together.

A vacant parking lot in downtown was chosen to experiment with camera tracking. Photos and videos of the site allowed us to situate our digitally created objects into an interesting composition while responding the site context in terms of light and shadow.
